Was doing a sale online with someone for a video game related thing, ended up recieving $1,397 in Bitcoin. It was in my Exodus wallet saying “Recieving…”, so I told the guy I’d wait for the transaction to confirm before giving him what he paid for. He started pressuring me to send the stuff anyway, saying that crypto transactions are permanent, that hes in a rush, etc. I still insisted on waiting so he eventually ended up blocking me. Then the Bitcoin immediately disappeared from my wallet. Nothing even showed up in my transaction history. The only proof i have of ever recieving it is an Exodus notification and I screenshot I took. I have the txid and it says “invalid” but Im just confused as to how this works, since theres no way to cancel an Exodus transaction or anything like that as far as I know. |
