There was some misreporting and bad messaging happening on what is actually going to be in Warcraft x DnD book before it was officially announced, here's some official interviews done by James Wyatt.

Classes

Using the Player's Handbook as a foundation, D&D: World of Warcraft® provides rules for playing all 13 World of Warcraft classes, with alterations, new options, and guidance on bringing each class and its specializations to life in D&D.

The book adds 6 new subclasses: the Oath of the Ebon Blade and Oath of the Holy Paladin, the Demon Hunter Ranger, the Shadow Domain and Discipline Domain Cleric, and the Path of the Elements Barbarian.

Rounding out the roster are 3 updated subclasses (Swashbuckler Rogue, Path of the Spiritual Guardian Barbarian, and Warrior of Mystic Brews Monk).

There are no new classes being printed in the book, we are getting rules on how to play all 13 classes. In the interviews, James Wyatt confirms that all 3 WoW mage specs are just DnD evoker wizards, and the guidance to play them is just going to recommend feat choices.

DK and DH lean into "hero class" status and require a 3rd level character (since they are represented with subclasses). Oath of the Ebon Blade paladins will select between blood, unholy, and frost.

Path of the Elements Barbarian is enhancement shaman, the rest should be obvious. Except Path of the Spiritual Guardian barbarian, which has no associated WoW spec (sham tank at blizzcon hype/cope?)

They are creating new custom mechanics to warcraft-ify the classes. Pet "families" are being introduced to DnD, so WoW-beastmaster hunters can have their pets do some of their control abilities they normally use with their weapons.

Species

In addition to new WoW-mapping rules for 5 existing species, D&D: World of Warcraft® adds 11 new species.  Build a character that feels unmistakably World of Warcraft® with the new Dracthyr, Draenei, Earthen, Forsaken, Haranir, Mechagnome, Pandaren, Tauren, Troll, Vulpera, and Worgen species.

Draenei will have 4 subraces (or whatever the dnd term is): blue, lightforged, manari, and broken.

Humans are getting some extra stuff, but expect others to be "to play a WoW gnome, pick rock gnome from the separate dnd players handbook".

Worgen are based off Eberron shifters.

Elves seem like they are all getting a new subrace, including some new cantrips.

Just wanted to help share the info I've found, since I know some folks are expecting basically a full reskinned PHB because of poor product messaging. 250 pages is not a lot of space when you consider all the dungeon and monster content! In other interviews, Holly did mention they are open to continuing to support this partnership if player interest remains
