I have last pirated music in I think 2018 or so, and since then mostly used my old musical streamed it while dealing with ads and all the bullshit

Until a few weeks ago

I had been starting to use YouTube music on my phone 3 months ago cause for some reason even tho I paid nothing YouTube on my phone never gave me advertisements anymore, idk why really, it just didn’t give me ads for 2 months, then about 3-4 weeks ago I went to listen again and I shit you not, a mere 30 seconds after I started my playlist I got hit with 2 5 minute ads, while showering. I was beyond pissed, so once I finished I went back to a online YouTube to MP3 converter and started downloading

And honestly it’s been objectively just so fuckin good

No ads, no limits, full control over my music again and no risk either

Sure it’s sometimes annoying to have to deal with the paranoia of my phone deciding to to sync with iTunes and delete half the library but I got backups floating around for that now

Combined with the piracy I do/did on games, movies and TV now I honestly gotta say that there is no world in which I am going back to paying for any of it

I get no ads, I get better service, I get more choice and I don’t have to pay a cent for any of it

Why would I not do it?

The games from greedy publishers I don’t want to support are available to me now, I can play delisted and new games better than a legit copy could, I can watch movies in 4K where only one streaming platform has it in Full HD, I can watch shows and have no ads pop up, you don’t know just how good it feels to watch an entire episode without ads until you have seen one where you get 3 ads in 45 minutes while streaming

And music? Shit I finally can just decide to skip the entire playlist again and get not one ad ever

Honestly I don’t even know why I stopped doing it the past few years with music, but I ain’t stopping now

Fuck the constant barrage by ads, now I just need need a YouTube plugin to auto skip sponsorships
