In short:

New Premier Ben Carroll says Victoria will fulfil the state's funding obligations to public schools under the Gonski plan, opening up a Canberra cash injection.

Victoria is presently the laggard on state school funding nationwide, only paying 70 per cent of the agreed School Resource Standard, and the Commonwealth only contributing 20 per cent.
What's next?

Mr Carroll and Opposition Leader Jess Wilson are on the campaign trail with Victorians scheduled to head to the polls on November 28.
