I found a house with no doors or windows, so I made a peep hole and looked inside

I'm not gonna bore you with all the details of my personal life here, cause really, it doesn't matter who I am in this story. In a weird way what i encountered in the woods kind of reminded me how unremarkable of a person I am, although I guess I'm getting ahead of myself here.

All you gotta know about me is that my name's Dia, I enjoy going on walks to photograph random bullshit when I'm bored, and I live in the most white trash part of rural Missouri.

Typically in small town's like mine your choices in activities are drinking or shooting up drugs, and I've never been much of a fan of either of those things to be honest. I like to walk around a lot though, perhaps the one good thing about living in the middle of nowhere is all the empty space for me to walk. I wouldn't really call it exploring when there's hardly anything to explore around here, but it's nice to gawk at the scenery every once in a while.

Recently I was gifted a Polaroid camera by my mom, I guess she wanted to encourage me to get a real hobby instead of just aimlessly wandering around like a crazy person. Lucky for my mom though it seemed like she'd found the exact hobby for me, cause I caught the photography bug like crazy. There's something so satisfying about taking pictures of anything and everything, from pretty sunsets that peek just between the trees, or more interesting things I find like graffiti. I'd probably share some of the pictures if they were relevant to the topic at hand, but like I said- I'm not really important to this story so I won't bore you with superfluous detail.

Now that we've got the background out of the way I can finally share the thing I encountered yesterday that has me so totally freaked I had to make this post. I just wanna know if someone has ever seen this place and has any info on it, because really I can't even wrap my head around the concept of it. You read the title of the post, you know what's coming, no use stalling anymore.

I found a house with no doors or windows in an empty field.

It wasn't a rundown shack, or some half destroyed remnant of a place, I'm talking about an actual honest to God house. This was a full on suburban two story home, with white siding and a brick foundation and black shingled roof and everything else you'd expect a nice suburban home to have- except it didn't have any windows, and the door was just gone. And I don't mean there was a hole were they should have been, I mean the whole house was just smooth white siding like you'd see on any other home. It was as if someone had just built the place and forgotten to add a way to get in.

I'd stumbled upon this place when I decided to take the long way from the corner store after grabbing a slushie, when I noticed a stretch of path I'd never actually been down. This was a real rarity for me, considering that my town is so small it makes twin peaks look like NYC, and I know most places in my town like the back of my hand. Obviously, I had to walk the trail and see where it headed.

I'm usually really careful when it comes to trespassing, I mean, people in Missouri are practically begging for a reason to shoot their neighbors anyways. Believe me, when I see a red sign I turn on my heels and leave like the goody two shoes I am- I do not wanna get my face blown off by my white trash neighbors. However, there wasn't anything blocking the path to the…. well, path. There was just an iron gate that was swung half way open, nary a sign in sight, so I pressed on.

After walking for what I think was probably a mile or so, I came across the mysterious house in a huge open field. I took a moment to check my surroundings to see if I was in the middle of a farm or something, but all there was for what seemed like miles out was just yellowy grass and blue sky. There weren't even any trees around, save for the ones behind me that had decorated the path I'd followed there. It was seriously just me and the house in an empty, windy field. I'd never known the phrase middle of nowhere could be so God damn literal.

I started snapping pictures of the place the moment I got close enough to frame it well. Honestly even with the missing entry points, the weirdest thing to me was how different this house looked from every other home in my town. It wasn't just that most people here were poor as shit- so a two story home might as well be a mega mansion here, the style alone just didn't mesh with most places in Missouri. Something about it struck me as seriously out of place, as though it'd been plucked from somewhere else and popped down here.

It was at this point I was starting to get a bad feeling in my gut about the house. I didn't wanna be the dummy who got herself killed from being too curious, and the place was feeling uncannier by the second. I don't know if you've ever seen a house with no door or windows, but it's a lot like looking at a face with no mouth or eyes. A part of me even found it a bit suffocating to look at, like the thought of being in there made me wanna squirm.

I got closer to it and started to survey it just to make sure there wasn't some hidden hatch in the ground or something, but again- the place was barren. I then noticed something even weirder than the lack of doors or windows- the place had a chimney, but like… a half formed chimney? I don't know if that makes any sense, but I managed to get a look at it and realized it was just solid brick the whole way through. You know how most chimney's have a hole in them to let the smoke out? This one didn't have it. Whoever made this place really must have wanted nobody to get in… or worse, out. The crazy thing though is that I don't even think this was a place that was sealed up. My dad's a construction worker, I know what a sealed up building looks like- this was obviously built with the fake chimney and everything else as part of the design, like it was a set dressing on a TV show.

I knocked on the side of the building to check if it was hollow, cause even if it was solid all through out that'd still be easier to understand than it having something inside. From the sounds of it though there was a lot of space inside, I even knocked on multiple other sections of the building just to be sure, and the same was true. Something was in there, and being the weirdo I am- I had to find out what.

The good thing was that I never leave the house unprepared, in the same bag I carried my camera in I also carried a little tool knife I could use in case I ever got into really bad trouble. I scraped a section of the house off then used the cork screw to put a hole in the wall that I could peer through.

To my surprise, the inside of the home was strangely well furnished. The furniture wasn't rotted, hell, it wasn't even messy. Although everything had a thick coating of a dust on it, the furniture itself was stylish. A bit too frou frou for my taste, but any girl who considered herself a high class lady would probably decorate the same way. It kind of reminded me of dollhouse furniture or an Ikea showroom, like the type of furniture that was picked out to look good and appear as if it was part of a home, but not actually meant to be part of your daily life. The weirdest thing of all though was that there was lights on, yes, i'm serious. In this house that nobody could even see in there were lamps with fully functioning lights that I had to assume stayed on 24/7 for nobody.

I poked more holes for me to look through, snapped some pictures to the best of my ability even though I was trying to line up a camera through a tiny hole while I had a slushie in my hand, then prepared to make my journey back. But of course, me being a dumb ass, didn't know when to quit, so I decided to look at one more hole for the road, and… fuck, I still don't know what I saw in that room.

I didn't realize it at first but I'd definitely gone from one room to another, cause the other one was clearly a yellow living room and this was a pink bedroom. The furnishings looked like they belonged to a teenage girl, the kind who liked going to the mall on the weekend and was really into boy bands. There was stuff that looked eerily natural, like half opened makeup and piles of clothes strewn on the floor, while other things looked perfectly decorated. This girl had posters of early 2000's heart throbs that had lip stick smears on them, but not a wrinkle or tear in sight. As a former teen girl myself, I found that pretty hard to believe. All of this, the exterior, the decorations, the lights, were absolutely weird as hell, but not exactly terrifying. What I saw next though, absolutely was.

The hole I carved in was really hard to see through, so I didn't even notice this at first, but in the corner of the room, on a cute little canopy bed with Hannah Montana bed sheets, was a figure. I thought it was somebody who would catch me snooping at first, but then the realization of what it actually was hit me like a sack of bricks. It was a corpse. Not just a corpse, but a corpse that was done up to make it look like she was alive.

The body looked like it belonged to a young girl, only about fourteen at the most given her short stature and uh… underdeveloped looking body. She was in pajamas with little tiaras plastered all over them and she had fake looking blonde hair on her head. It looked like wig hair, cheap wig hair too- the kind you get for Halloween costumes and nothing else. I could see rotted bony...
