Hello, I’m a 24M and lately I’ve been really struggling with my mental health. I just can’t stop hating myself for the fact that I’m different to other people. My autism stops me from relating to anybody around me. I never had a carefree youth, I was bullied, ostracised, stressed out all the time. I had severe OCD at age 11. I had no idea at the time I was autistic. And into adulthood, I never went to college because I couldn’t handle living in dorms with others even though I was perfectly intellectually capable, my stupid autism stopped me. I never dated because I have no clue how to talk to women and be attractive to them. I can’t handle working full time, not because of the work but I can’t handle socialising with people all day. I have had multiple meltdowns at different jobs and now I find myself unemployed and lost what to do. All because of my condition. It’s hard not to hate myself for it and to not be bitter about the life others live. I’m sorry if this post is too depressing but I needed to ask others how to cope because I’m struggling at the moment. Thanks for reading. |
