I replaced mine a few months ago.

I've kept it just in case.

I understand the point is to price people out of personal computing, forcing them to use thin clients to rent compute. That doesn't mean I'm not priced out of personal computing though.

I'd like to make a PS3/xb360 emulating machine, and boy is that an expensive toy.

I did the same after reading this article. 700 for a 5070 is still somewhat reasonable, 1000 wouldn't be.
