Upon receiving everyone's comments, I will probably do a encrypted cloud storage. Thanks everyone for being understanding!
Hello, I am looking for a third type of storage medium as I am looking into buying a new HDD and currently have a SSD, but feel like maybe I could find something more shelf-stable and I am not happy with how cloud storage recently has been being scraped for AI data (But that is a topic for another day).
My main requirements would be
Shelf stable for long periods of time aka years.
Preferably rewritable even if its a hassle as I would like to be able to update them
If not rewriteable, then cost efficient enough to make a backup every 5 years on a tight budget (Talking 25-100$ a month budget after bills and everything).
Able to store drive images or at least zip files of various folders
Does not have to be powered on or attached to a power supply like a NAS
Thank you again everybody and sorry if I come off as noobish.
