MAL Anilist

Hi everyone.

In the recent Best Girl 13 a number of "advertising posts" came up for Chitanda, which is a reminder how Chitanda Eru herself - and the show she is in - are really charming and stood the test of time.

This September marked the 14th year Hyouka since Hyouka finished airing, and Hyouka fans had been pining for more since then. With the recent trend of some meme-worthy shows similarly had fans wanting for more for years suddenly coming up for continuation (Spice and Wolf, Yona of the Dawn), nothing is impossible!

So here's my attempt to keep this show fresh for the sub - a rewatch.

The Show - what's the draw?

It's a KyoAni show.

As if it's not enough of a credential, Hyouka is also known for its incredible directions and character writing. While there's a mystery tag often assigned to it, it's first and foremost a Slice of Life and coming of age show.

Obviously the visual and music production values are super high as well.

And then of course the trump cards being the characters : the interactions between Chitanda 'Kininarimasu' Eru, and Oreki '.....' Houtarou are always a delight; you can watch them simply talk for a whole episode without being bored.

There are a metric ton of scene analysis posts right here in the sub, but it'd be spoiler-y if you haven't watched it yet.

Availability - where to watch

Unfortunately for me I am in an uncommon location so looking up what streaming service is available for my country doesn't help. Someone from the US region may be able to help!

Edit thanks Sky and awesomenessofme1 - LiveChart says it's on Crunchyroll sub and dub.

The Rewatch - when and how
It'd be a typical format where we watch 1 episode a day and share thoughts of the show. First timers and rewatchers alike are welcome.

I plan to start the rewatch on the first Saturday of Sept. Expect the same time as this post.

Please leave a note here for those interested and I'll tag you in future updates.
