Seems this is for One+ and Oppo, but with alt Android OSes like Lineage, would be nice to have it back and available. I'm too dumb to code and prefer not to vibe code it. Unfortunately, I installed lineage almost immediately when I got this phone, and am missing a lot of features I didn't look into until now.

Edit: since this was for Oppo, One+ received capability with an update, making me think this special protocol would work for anyone's device. No special hw required. Maybe there's a way to dump the app/feature files from a ROM to build into an app?

Yes, and I have a Heltec node already. My wife rolled her eyes when I bought one, I planned on buying others for when we camp.

I also thought about building a meshcore system for around home but that's going to have to wait since infrastructure costs more (repeater plus clients).

I was more so hoping something pre built in would be best, in case you forget a node or it's not charged.

Dude, no shit?! This looks very similar to BeaconLink, and basically the same principle!! THANK YOU!!! Idk how I overlooked this on F-Droid unless I ignored it thinking it's another LoRaWAN thing.

+1 for sure!
