Why do I suspect new DLC coming soon:

• New, so far, completely empty new depots (4771397, 4771398, 4771399 and 4771390) have been added for Linux, macOS and Windows today.
  • Likely appearing empty due to those being private depots. So, they might be filled with files, but that isn't visible to us.
• All those empty depots are associated with the unused DLC with the id of 4771390.
  • SteamDB shows further that this DLC started its existence in the Steam backend since May 2026. This is like a month after the last 1.21.1-f9 patch for the Race Day DLC from earlier this year. Seems like producing a DLC within three months time could be doable.

Conclusion

Suspect a new DLC being in development by Tantalus again for Cities: Skylines (2015). If they do it the same way as they did with the DLC in March this year, if might be another DLC pack with a couple of Content Creator Packs and maybe an additional Radio Station. However, these depots only being associated with one piece of DLC, could also indicate they are only planning to release one piece of DLC... or simply didn't add other depots yet. Hope we will see soon ;)

So far, I've read nothing about a possible announcement of new DLC, so curious whether I'm the first one to notice this haha. With them adding the depots already... often indicates that whatever is in it, might be releasing soon.

Edit: No, before people are asking; I of course do not know if this is gonna break some mods or if whatever DLC they are going to release is going to be released with quite some bugs again that have to be patched up later.
