I was sat next to a scientist on a plane yesterday and we got chatting. He shared something interesting thst I thought some folks here might get a kick out of.

This guy's father was a senior scientist at Los Alamos who worked on the Manhattan Project and was a close colleague of Oppenheimer.

His dad told him that when they were getting close to the Trinity test, guidance was passed round the team that they might expect to see UFOs observing the test and aftermath and were to report them immediately. I don't know if that's already well known in this community, apologies if so - it sounded interesting to me and I hadn't heard that before.

His dad, who continued to be a top atomic scientist during the Cold War, apparently was 100% certain that aliens were operating on Earth and had a huge interest in observing our nuclear weapons and stopping humanity annihilating itself.
