So a few days ago I started seeing videos on homelabs pop up. And looking at these projects that people are doing with them looks extremely cool. Storage that’s not controlled by a greedy expensive company, having your own streaming service and not having to pay for overpriced subscriptions, and other random things that seem extremely convenient. I’ve read a couple of posts and read the comments as well and seen that most of you are in things like IT and super well versed in this. Well as someone who’s not extremely into tech (meaning I don’t know about coding and things like Linux) how could I get into my own homelab? I honestly have no idea where to start, and anytime I search I don’t really know what I’m looking for. If someone could even point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it, as it seems like a really fun thing to get into. |
