Specifically the new Steam controller and the mouse manufacturers. As I'm looking at the OG Steam controller on my desk, that I can either hardwire to recharge the batteries in it, or hot swap them in a pinch. The new one can't do that.

And the G502 Lightspeed I'm using, that can only be hardwired to recharge. Unlike the G700s sitting off to the side that it replaced. Which also had the glory of hardwire charging or swapping in a new battery.
