Hi,

In the series Family Matters the character Steve Urkel started as a side character, maybe even as a one off appearance. But eventually he took over the whole show.

I also know that a similar thing happened to the Fonz in Happy Days

I am wondering if you know any other examples of where a side character becomes the star of the show?

Thank you
