Ryohei Oiwa, Kaito Kiyomiya and Yuma Anzai were called the “MIRAI TRIO” by Weekly Pro Wrestling in 2023, specifically calling them out as the future “Ace” figures of Japanese wrestling.

Ryohei Oiwa has now come closer to realizing his full potential alongside the other two, with his victory in the G1 Climax Final; Kaito has won both the N-1 Victory tournament as well as the GHC Heavyweight Championship in NOAH (even winning the N-1 as the reigning GHC Champ!) and Anzai has already won the Triple Crown Championship of AJPW (he’s set to challenge Kento Miyahara for the Belt on August 29th).

If Oiwa is able to defeat Yota Tsuji (or Hirooki Goto) for the IWGP at King of Pro Wrestling, he will have one up on Anzai, who has failed to win the Champion Carnival in AJPW as of now.

Also, there is a possible scenario where we see Oiwa, Kiyomiya & Anzai as the top champs of their respective promotions by the end of the year (I think it’s a very high possibility that Kiyomiya ends up dethroning Naito for the GHC).
