Blizzard: “We’ll add new races when it makes sense in the story.”

11.3: Ethereal patch, the Horde and Alliance rescue the ethereal home world. No ethereal race added.

12.0: Ceasefire with the Amani. No (real) Amani troll race added. Recolored Darkspear doesn’t count - you’re the ones who made a different model for the forest trolls, you know they aren’t the same thing.

12.1: Snake patch. The story appears to contain no evidence of any snake people who aren’t fanatically dedicated to Ula’tek, but it could have if they decided to write that in. Anyway, no Sethrak/equivalent race added.

So I’m guessing 12.2 will be Naga themed, and we’ll see new bipedal naga and we won’t get them as a race.
