Trying retail was a good decision.

I played wow from vanilla until early WoD. It was (and still) the best gaming experience ever. I had to stop for normal life reasons, wife, kids, job etc...

I came back on and off to classic since 2019, while it was cool, i don't have the time to commit to a guild and raiding schedule. So when you've leveled 3-4 toons to 60-70, it's fun but.... stopped playing around 2023 completely.

Fast foward to 3 days ago... the WoW itch started again, i decided to try retail. I was one of the classic purist who hated retail ( for unknow reasons..) but i wanted to see my old characters and all.

I am having a blast !

I am level 25 leveling in dragonflight, already did 2 dungeons with 4 npc with me, seeing content i've never saw before, having fun. I can see there is a lot to do, all alone. Once again, i don't have the time to invest in groups or communities. It's perfect for me.

Lots of QoL in the default settings so no need for addons (yet). Fun, fast pace and if i have an emergency with one of the kids, i exit game and that's it . Maybe i'll hit a brick wall at max level, we will see..

The reason for this wall of text is for the old gamers like me who might hesitated, give it a try. You might like it !
