Just left fancy dinner for my partner’s little bro’s bday dinner, and saw him walking with folks, black jacket, smiling.

I recognized him instantly as we walked past each other, and like a classic Midwesterner living in London, said, “Op! Hey! I know you. I love your work. Appreciate you. Have a good night.”

He gave me a smile and a nod and a little thanks and that little wink thing he does.

Seemed sweet and genuine.

But just want to report that he seems in good spirits. Onwards and upwards.

Though I wish I could have made a 3D portrait of him, a Gaussian splat. I’ve been developing 3D documentary photography projects. But this all transpired in two seconds, because we didn’t stop. I don’t like to presume a right to someone’s time or attention, cause my dad (RIP in June) taught me to be respectful of people’s time and attention, even celebrities.
