What even is that image?
They clearly think they are the good guys. Why does their armor look like something the sith would use if you just replace the symbol?

It just gives those evil vibes.
Are they not scared someone might get a „are we the baddies?“ thought?

Actually. Given Kylos lightsaber this could totally have been a sith group under him oder venerating him.

Do they know that they are evil? Or are they this deluded?

They're stupid. They're the same kind of people who read media and get absolutely nothing from it. They think Snow Crash's metaverse was cool and don't pick up on it being a dystopia.
