There's this lady at the office who is really abrasive and no one likes. I work in the field so I mainly have to report to her via email.
Apparently she's really picky about people writing emails as concise as possible even if that means leaving out information and she would like everything to be 'communicated all in 1 email' so she can easily drag and drop certain subjects into certain folders.
I purposely send her emails that are a few paragraphs long with a lot of details and in multiple parts. Apparently from some people in the office they've been telling me that it's been really pissing her off.
No one has told me to stop doing it lol.
EDIT - Some of the thing she does that makes me do this to her:
- She pissed off one of my clients with her attitude over the phone and hung up on her. They complained.
- She does these jump to conclusions audits to put people into accusatory positions and uses the general office email for that so everyone can see. When she is always proven wrong she doesn't reply and a higher up usually has to step in and clean things up.
- She's always for penalizing our clients (and workers for that matter) and never budges on things like cancellation fees even though we insist she does sometimes for the sake of keeping our customers happy. I've had to go out of my way to reach out to higher ups to override her decisions on many occasions.
- She schedules very, very lazily. She just throws shit in. She creates timelines that are impossible or extremely inconsistent like location 1 > location 2 > back to location 1 and these locations would be like 30 mins of driving apart and she'd give 10 minutes of travel between. Also, you could've just lined up all our clients in location 1 to be side by side. I spend at least a good 30 mins a week fixing the schedule she made even on my day off.
- Also, it is not possible to send her emails that are 1 or 2 lines for some of the jobs we do. Why should we have to compromise the integrity of the process because she doesn't like to read?
- She's just a big pain in the ass and anytime you get an email from her you know it's going to bother you 9 times out of 10.
