I thought it was the other Chris Parnell, and wondered how he was supposed to be "good for Trek". |

Good thing they have loads of number one Star Trek fans in the building, whatever that means. Is she implying that they're looking for other options than what Secret Hideout has to offer? |

Right now it's hard to imagine they're going to bring Kurtzman and Secret Hideout back for anything Trek-related. It's pretty clear Kurtzman's era as Trek overseer is done. |

I wouldn't put money on it either way, but I would think CBS Studios would have more say in that than Paramount+ as the "network" - the two are very intertwined obviously, but I suspect Paramount+ just wants the shows, without being too concerned about who makes them. |

Since that Parnell is most recently known for Jerry in Rick and Morty, I feel like we're missing out on "Star Trek: Jerry" Picture it: Alpha Quadrant, 3070. Captain Jerry Smith's is one of the few ships to survive The Burn. Captain Jerry: I just kept maintaining course and speed at full impulse, and it just kept working. |

Don't have a lot of faith in Skydance's ability to produce a good Star Trek moving forwards. I wouldn't expect them to do a terrible amount of micromanaging on this show, but I could definitely see them hiring showrunners and creatives that are meant to appeal to a conservative demographic. |
