Some rules we try to uphold:

Be civil. Bigotry is not welcome. This includes (but is not limited to): transphobia, queerphobia, racism, ageism and ableism. We do not promote hate.
Communities need to be Retro or Retro-adjacent.
Please don't upload pornographic content. (use an external image host for that)

Original Title: TIL about a freak “heat burst” storm phenomenon that struck a small town in Kopperl, Texas in the middle of the night on June 15, 1960. Winds suddenly hit 70 MPH, and temperatures got so hot they burnt crops and burst thermometers in-town that maxed out over 140 F.
