Is there a simple way to turn off the word wrapping in the default terminal for Ubuntu/Mint? So far I haven't found anything from recent years and there doesn't seem to be a toggle or anything in the preferences menu. Most relevant threads are from like 14 years ago suggesting If not, are there alternative terminals that have word wrap disabled that I can use on Mint? |

I have something in the back of my head that this is a bad idea to try to do, because the whole ecosystem was built around the assumption that there is a finite number of columns. From a quick search, I'm also only really finding methods like these, which just chop off the line, with no way to then scroll horizontally... |
