I'm looking for charts in the UK and Europe to use with OpenCPN when sailing a boat.

in the states there are free charts...in the UK all seem paid? you can use the likes of cmap when you have an internet connection...

Anyway something that is deeply ironic...is that nautical piracy seems to be almost non existent?!?

Where are the pirate charts, pirate's nautical apps etc??

It feels ironic that sailing the high sees seems to be the hardest place for piracy??!?

my understanding is that some of the charts used with OpenCPN in theory can be shared without drm etc...in practice one can't find them anywhere?!?

Ps I've tried torrent sites plus everywhere else I can think of!
