Have you ever started an anime and thought, “Yeah, it's alright,” but after a few more episodes you were completely hooked?

For me, some anime just get better once you understand the characters and the story a little more.
What anime was like this for you?

Gintama is probably the biggest example for me. At first, I wasn't sure about all the comedy and random episodes but the more I watched, the more I started getting attached to the characters. And once the serious arcs started hitting, I was really invested in it.
