TL;DR I tried to be one with nature/save on TP by using leaves instead.

been wild camping for a week and a half, and we didn’t pack enough tissue. So to save on TP I have been using leaves to wipe (rather, gently guide the remaining drops onto the leaf away from my bush), and clean with water once a day to Lee up with hygiene.

It has been hot, so I’ve been relatively dehydrated.

did you know that women’s urethras can be quite short? And this means we can relatively easily get infections, as bacteria doesn’t have to travel so far before the next “rinse”

And did you know (clearly I’ve forgotten everything I ever learned) that leaves are covered in bacteria?

So I’ve basically been rubbing my urethra onto random leaves, and then leaving the bacteria to just sit and hang out there for 8 hours every night and 12 hours per day for a week without a real shower. Which of fucking course gave me an infection.
