Because the bot heavily relied on old.reddit.com [http://old.reddit.com/], and
access to that now requires a login, the bot is suspended. For the longest time
using old.reddit.com [http://old.reddit.com/] was the only way to access nsfw
content without an account, but now all content there requires a login. It might
be possible to circumvent this, but I’m not sure if that is worth it. The bot
isn’t particularly hard to detect if they wanted to, and I’m not sure I want to
engage in that cat and mouse game with them. Maybe Lemmit has had its best time.

Ive supplemented the bot for years but if the admin doesnt want to continue then thats that.

RIP lemmy bot. You were my connection to a younger me but I guess its time to move on.

Im just sad to see another thing I enjoy go away.

Same here. Sad but less reddit is also good I guess.
Time to find other smut to read :’)

Hope, you keep it as an archive. It’s still useful for crossposting sometimes

Edit: If it stays that way you could add to the community descriptions that the bot was shut down; and maybe link to related lemmy commuities like !programmer_humor@programming.dev, !programmerhumor@lemmy.ml, !pcmasterrace@lemmy.world, !til@lemmy.world, !worldnews@lemmy.ml, !mildlyinteresting@lemmy.world, !memes@lemmy.world, memes@lemmy.ml, !homeassistant@lemmy.world, !selfhosted@lemmy.world, !abandonedporn@reddthat.com, !funny@sh.itjust.works, !funny@lemmy.world, !dataisbeautiful@mander.xyz, !dataisbeautiful@lemmy.world, !dataisbeautiful@lemmy.ml, !steamdeck@lemmy.ml, !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com, !linux_gaming@lemmy.world, !linux_gaming@lemmy.ml, !furry_irl@pawb.social, !technology@beehaw.org, !technology@lemmy.world, !ukrainianconflict@lemmy.world, !antiwork@lemmy.world

Thanks for the work supplementing the bot! It's a shame, but not surprising that reddit has made itself worse in another way.
