No TOTP on my side, but you can add a passkey here: https://piefed.social/user/passkeys which is equivalent. |

cool thanks! excuse my question being dummy but isnt passkey tied to devices? i like TOTP because i can easily transfer to any device i can install a TOTP app (or password managers which many support TOTP and doesnt need internet) to keep it isolated from the device i connect and use and just get the 6 digits to type when i need it |

I use Bitwarden and my passkeys are usable everywhere. |

Bitwarden is a big no for me but thanks.. im more fond of keepass-based ones like ChiPass, how do you "extract" the passkey token from setting so i can type it elsewhere instead of it prompting on the device you are clicking using internet? |

Your password manager must offer passkey support including a browser plugin that can hook into the login flow. |

thanks i wasnt aware it involved so many complications to be able to accomplish being able to just get the "token" (good to know though), 2FA is already a bit of incovenience you get used to for extra security but involving all of these more is overwhelming so i guess i never will use passkeys |
