So in one day I learned she funded the Moderna vaccine (Covid-19), a free library for kids that's given hundreds of millions of books to kids world wide, had no real religion, lost a Dolly Parton drag contest, was responsible for Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel (in part) and wrote the theme tune to "Butterflies" (a British show with Wendy Craig and Geoffrey Palmer that aired between 1978 and 1983)

And I am pretty sure that's only the tip of the iceberg of what this truly outstanding woman did during her life.

Immediately what I thought of - we'll always have this episode to return to.

I'm behind on my Orville. Were they actually playing Dolly Parton's music in this clip?

Yup. Happens a couple times, actually.

A lot of folks knew her for everything else, but I will always remember how she advocated for reading and all the books she gave to children. The book world has lost a wonderful person 😔
