The only reason for the insane growth of AI is to make insane profits. Nothing good will further come out of this sector imo.

I think this is the part where now they have a invested interest in the platform that hosts open source models they are going to start pushing the narrative that they need to be banned or "contained" and there's going to be regulations to the point only they can host open source models.

So regulatory capture. We are going to start seeing a whole bunch of news about people using dangerous Chinese models to make slop, hack people, make deep fakes/ nudes of everyone, and make the claim that only they should be allowed to do those things. Only chatgpt and grok can hack Americans and make nudes of them without their consent.

They're always going to blame Chinese models too, its never going to be the story about how these platforms incentivise this stuff in the first place, and how its just someone in a third world in south easy Asia gaming the algorithm using normal commercial LLM's. They're not going to talk about how they are the ones constantly breaking the law and fighting everyone tooth and nail to ensure that grok can still produce csam.

Uhg, I hope you're wrong but I bet you're at least partly right. Too much money sloshing around to not see attempts at regulatory capture to screw with competition.

And the entire time, grok, trained on CSAM, generating CSAM constantly, isn't so much as mentioned by these ghouls.

Honestly I blindly say a lot of stuff but I don't like how often I end up being right about it.
