TJ Miller didn't leave the show, he was kicked off for being a shitty person to work with.

Supposedly he has a rare brain condition that results in him being kinda flaky, frequently an asshole, and always late. It sounds like an exceptionally convenient excuse, but there is relatively convincing info that makes it seem like he even got brain surgery to try to address it.

TJ Miller was kicked off the show for allegations of sexual assault.

Edit: I just learned he also punched an Uber driver in 2016 and called in a fake bomb threat in 2018.

The wiki article indicates the alleged assault happened during college, and his wife stands by him as it being a false accusation.
