Hey all — I've been building Basic Chess, a 3D chess game in Godot 4, and just pushed a batch of visual upgrades: custom piece shaders, a dynamic sky shader with a moving sun, and new wood/stone materials for the board. It's a passion project and still a work in progress, but it's playable now free download for Windows and Linux. Would really appreciate anyone giving it a spin and telling me what feels off or what you'd want to see next (AI opponent, online multiplayer, board themes, etc.) |

Your screenshot has the board orientation wrong. |

Light square in bottom right corner, but it looks real pretty. |

Colors are fixed, screen captures updated and the game re-exported. I feel like an idiot. |
