Seriously, he was sent to his country of origin fairly quickly. And now he's feeling sorry for himself instead of the people dying of medical neglect in detention centres and being shipped off to a fucking Venezuelan labour camp.

It makes more sense to me if I think of him as literally having no actual beliefs. He found a way to profit from Nazi propaganda so he does that. He probably has just considered himself immune to any of these issues until now, because he's rich and (in)famous.

Regular people taken by ICE are often held for months, separated from their families, and sometimes deported to places they're not even from originally. He was held for less than a week and sent back to the UK to do the Piers Morgan right wing talk show circuit.
