🎵 So here I am, pretending I’m a Superman 🎵

I had this shirt and didn't wash it inside-out so it lasted less than a year, one of my greatest regrets

Bring the Noise.

literally me.

Need for Speed Underground 2 and Most Wanted shaped my music taste for life

Yea I do be like that

!shirtsthatgohard@lemmy.world

distant trumpets ska-ing closer

A Meeee Baaaaa!

A Meeee Baaaaa!

Also, is it really just white people who do this?

“Now this is what it’s like when worlds collide…”

Do you know about her strength in convictions? Or how she puts all her faith in religion? Did we take the time to really discover how little we know about each other?

No you're singing it wrong. It goes "so here I am, doing everything I can, holding on to what I am, pretending I'm a superman" /j

I personally like the start of the second verse better: "So here I am, growing older all the time, looking older all the time, feeling younger in my mind."

And I'm grateful for the 1+2 remake introducing me to Zebrahead.

Substituting THPS with GTA** also works.

TIL you should wash graphic tees inside out

Oh yeah, especially the cheap ones. Keeps the print from flaking and extends the lifespan considerably.

well, it was… 😢

I can hear that shirt. The song. The skateboard sounds. All of it.

My intro to Rush

Psst, I think you're a little lost! I'm an idiot.

And now, a quarter of a century later, I still can't hear any song from that soundtrack without being disappointed when the song I know comes next isn't played.

It's the lyrics to a ska punk song. I never played THPS but I'm guessing it was on the soundtrack.

Oh, sorry, made myself look stupid! Thanks for the correction; I assumed it had been posted to the wrong thread.

Haha, been there! It's all good

Understand understand. Understand understand. Understand understand the concept of love.

It's in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4. Song is All My Best Friends Are Metalheads by Less Than Jake.

Tbh, I had to look up whether it was actually in one of the games or if I was just misremembering before I posted the lyrics. It is in THPS4.

I'VE GOT CYCO VISION

......wait. What do you mean they're not saying "Tony Hawk" over and over!?

🎵 So here I am,

Doing everything I can

Holding on to what I am,

Pretending I'm a superman! 🎵

With my perceptions in a mix down forty miles through the sticks, in the cloudy town of hell with population 96

The ace of spades kicking in was epic.

I probably wouldn't be as much of a music nerd if it weren't for VC/SA/IV/V's soundtracks.
