I sat on the leftmost cushion of my couch intending to play a video game or to reflash a Linux distribution on my computer. It's Labor Day and I wanted a break.

Every day, I sit on the rightmost cushion of my couch when I practice trumpet.

I felt the urge to get my hands on the horn today, even though I gave myself the day off. So I took it out and practiced.

The human brain, and its strong associations between places and the actions you do there… something something the CGP Grey Spaceship You video which has since had its name changed for algorithm performance.

I'm the type of person to consider this an example of !littlewins@lemmy.blahaj.zone for myself. Trying to mold myself into the person for whom my whims and desires lead to self-improvement, and it happened this time!

As They Might Be Giants tell us in their song:

Oh yes, yes, practice trumpet everyday.

Thanks for introducing me to that song!

The animation feels nostalgic. Reminded of some edutainment cartoons I'd watch as a kid.
