In 2011, he founded Liberty Energy, then known as Liberty Oilfield Services.[15] As of February 2023, the company was valued at $2.8 billion, according to The Wall Street Journal.[16] As the CEO of Liberty Energy, Wright earned $5.6 million in 2023.[11]

Despite Herculean efforts on his part, Chris Wright was ultimately unable to live up to voter expectations of delivering lower fuel prices.

When doing the "right thing" happens to overlap with the "Right" thing, it just ruins the feel-good for me.

I bet the trick to lowering health care costs is to need health care less, too.

It's the same shit they did & still do with COVID-19 testing. 'If we do less tests, there will be less cases recorded! Problem solved!'

Hope all the miserable assholes who voted for stopping electrification feel it in every part of them. I hope they have to give up on real, meaningful life dreams forever because they are now unaffordable. And I hope their houses specifically burn down in the wildfires the CO2 from their gasoline made so common.

I am beyond done with this gasoline bullshit.

Gas in my region is well over $5 a gallon I don't notice because we went from 2 cars to 1, and the one is an EV.

Meanwhile I STILL see these absolute morons buying huge gas suvs and trucks because.. They need to? Always have a bullshit excuse that's always easily debunked.

I drive to and from dialysis three times per week, and to the occasional medical appointment. Which of those exactly should I be skipping?

You can just electrify on your own though, regardless of what the government wants.

You could skip all of them if you take a bus /train/bike. This is of course if you have the option. I don't know your situation.

There are a lot of things people can do on their own... in a world where the median US income isn't $45,000 and responsible and capable products aren't tariffed to hell.

Mass adoption comes with affordability which comes with support and clear, intentional direction. Consumers don't shift paradigms when they think the new paradigm won't go anywhere. We can't even get people off of X - and that costs NOTHING.

Electrifying on your own is prohibitively expensive for most people, and the fact that those people have to be prepared to also pay an additional premium because they're fighting their own government at the same time, in a period in time where people can barely afford FOOD, is not tenable.

US government evolution of transportation ideology

  1. Walking is for the poors and the idiots
  2. Cycling is for suicidal maniacs
  3. Public transit is big government and communism and you'll get mugged
  4. Cars are driving up gas prices
  5. ???
  6. PROFIT! (for the oil companies and the rest of the ruling class)

Using energy costs more money than not using it. With the amount of people flying every day don't tell me cost is the problem.

E-Bike? E-Scooter? That's easier than walking depending on how far away you park.

We are at $10.20/Galllon (2.30€/L) and I am so happy I do not need a car.

And there is the root of the problem.

Those options are increasingly not available in American cities

Not when there is a 6 lane freeway between you and your destination.
