What is unexpected about it? No cheap natural gas from Russia via Nord Stream 2, no cheap LNG from Qatar via the Hormuz Strait, and Chinese companies are undercutting German companies on price and exceeding them in quality.

While all of this is happening, there is a rise of fascism in Germany and the government is focused on enabling Israel's genocide than taking care of its people and addressing the issues that make them fall for fascist parties.
