They could start by doing something, anything, about the ridiculous costs of those PCs due to aforementioned AI. If we have to have AI I'd rather have AI on my desk than in datacenters.

I think they should just give up and use the next best thing like they do with everything else. Edge is just google chrome, the new Xbox is just Xbox game pass cloud gaming aka your phone. Just make a arm based windows operating system thats not whatever the hell windows on arm was. Then they can do their shitty app store and shitty cloud services. They already have apk access on windows. They just need to put it down instead of trying to jam android, Linux, and whatever else inside of windows.
