This article makes my mouth water.

I love pies, I hope this does not do what happened to burgers they all suddenly became 'gourmet' and got stupid prices, everywhere was suddenly a overbranded burger joint with cult followers.

On a side note personal grievance the overshift to flaky pastry. Pies (and pasties) can and I think should be shortcrust. They get too messy and greasy, which takes attention away from the filling.
