Three (wearing a pirate hat and eye patch) saying "We're pirtates and smugglers and thieves."

Dark Matter S1E2 "Episode Two"

Apparently, the only place to stream Dark Matter in recent months was the CW, but as of the first of this month, it was removed. I never noticed, for some reason.

EDIT: Reminder, this community is about the 2015 series Dark Matter. The 2024 Dark Matter on Apple TV is a totally different show and entirely unrelated. They both just happen to have the same title. The 2015 series (at least the first couple episodes) was an adaptation of a 2012 comic book titled Dark Matter and the 2024 series is an adaptation of an entirely unrelated 2016 novel titled Dark Matter.

You can buy the DVDs for $385.

That's either a lot of smuggling or a little piracy.

Looks like seasons one and two are each available on Amazon individually at a reasonable price, on either DVD or Blu-Ray. But not season three, for some reason.

Maybe it got bought by another company for S3 and now there's some rights issue.

I think $40 for a single DVD season is too damn much myself. There's prestige shows that sell for a lot less than that.

Maybe "reasonable" wasn't the right term. That price is just certainly much better than 385 divided by 3. But you are right; 40 USD is 34.48 EUR, and I would reeeeeally have to love a TV show to want to pay that for a single season.

The last show I thought about buying was Deep Space 9. That was selling for $100 for 7 seasons, still too much. I got all of Buffy for like $40 and now that's my price anchor.
