Full title: Microsoft admits Windows 11's biggest September update is breaking WSL-based apps, Remote Desktop, and causing issues with File History backup, and there are reports of GPU issues on AMD PCs. Anthropic has also blamed Microsoft for breaking Claude's Cowork.

They gotta stop vibe coding windows, it's wild. My work machine was fine about a year ago, not great but fine. It had updates maybe fortnightly and worked fine. Now it gets a random office or system update like 3 times a week and has a constant onslaught of random bugs.

Still occasionally use windows, and system stability is a bigger issue than ever before. I just want to download files and type emails. Please don't crash. Why has my resolution suddenly become an issue? Why is my window 3x larger than my screen?

AI breaks Windows and then, Windows break AI clients. I find this really funny.

I had windows foisted on me when I started at my new role, i tried to make WSL work but it was always janky especially in combination with security software they install

Managed to convince them to give me a 5 year old Mac mini and it is a dream

After seeing update after update fuck up windows i am glad i didn’t try make it work

A customer installer Photoshop elements 10 on windows 11.

Not long after, boot loop, can't fix itself.

Had to rebuild the BCD and some other bootrec commands to finally get to a bsod about a Roxio driver that 11 had decided was bad and just plain died rather than preventing installation. Recovery wouldn't boot either, had to use a Linux live on Ventoy to nuke said driver file.

Holy shit that's hilarious, the exact same thing happened to us at work and we thought it was a fluke. Wow.

This is pretty much as bad as nt4 sp2. Enabling the clock app's round mode would make it eat 100% cpu time. Generally you'd have to reboot to fix it.
