For anyone wondering, the coffee contained a viral pathogen that was turning him into a werewolf. The next two panels have him wolfing out, and attacking his colleague, and then tripling in mass, grabbing the blonde and climbing up the building

Or you could go back and read the strip from the 10th, where Milo explains the problem of Steve having just been to the dentist and the Novocain not wearing off in time for Steve's high school reunion.

the author released two bonus panels to this exact strip, where his mouth gets larger and he swallows the other person whole before then finishing his Martini, setting the morbid tone for the proceeding comic
