Today, I once again achieved my objective of top 25 ranking in my video game! Very nice.

I must say, I'm not really satisfied with my performance... I saw my rating not be enough for topping, then decided to play some more and just tanked -- and I mean tanked tanked -- though I did make it back and higher. Yet, it would've been better not to have tanked and then just won a game! Frustrating. I think I did get quite unlucky many times, but at the same time... There's skill in this.

I think maybe my deck was just too vulnerable to getting hit over the head with a shovel. In other words: I should build more resilient decks. The sort of deck that can lose hard in the first round, but still has winning chances. That's very hard to do, I think... I think my deck is actually quite good, in a lot of ways, but clearly I was struggling. I could just blame myself, of course. Even if the deck is good, if the pilot sucks, the gameplay will be bad; It's only natural.

Regardless, I got what I wanted. My rating was lower than last week, but my position was higher -- last week was a special event, which pushed the scores up a tad.

Next week, I intend to play a little more and actually try to place high, instead of just squeaking by in the top 25. Maybe I'll aim for top 10! We'll see.

Now, I'll do some grooming and then sleep.
