Where does it say no encryption? The email section said it uses TLS when emails are sent outbound.

Probably not much help but I purchased a domain to have my own email, I can then have a separate alias for every single login/site, that way I know who leaks my email and just move on to a different alias. I don't even need to manually create email aliases and can make something up on the fly. All emails then come to a single, private inbox.

Mailbox with encryption of incoming emails. It works with IMAP clients, and I own the keys. Other security minded people can also send end2end encrypted emails without needing to use the same provider.

But this still relies on PGP right?

I've got my own domain on Zoho mail, not sure if it's still free for custom domains.

But just for fun I might set up Stalwart with an SMTP relay through SMTP2GO or similar.

Yes. And as far as I know so does Proton under the hood.

The only advantage Proton has is that it encrypts the email headers for emails between Proton users, but the drawbacks don't make up for it IMO.

I use Proton but now I think if I'm gonna send mails to a Gmail anyway, there's no much difference except for the subscription ones not being scanned. And for those sites that I have to enter an email, I use addy.io alias or Firefox relay.

Any concerns with addy.io mining data? I think I read their privacy policy or something and got cold feet. I'm super paranoid though.

Doesn't the website say you can encrypt it youself and actually recommends doing so or something like that?

Cool, since it's a good service (at least from my limited experience of it). Do you have an more Info about it?

Oh, I tried it and it does encrypt it. you use this extension and it uses a keychain on that extension. The text is encrypted and the extension kinda draws on top of the mail you were reading making a little window with the unencrypted text after you input your password. I think it's glitched for me rn tho since it doesn't encrypt it when I mail myself but it might be spmething silly, I've not really tried that hard to fix it. Well either that or it works it mysterious ways.
