The crew rejected takeoff and stopped on the runway. There are no injuries being reported. Passengers reported their flight was delayed due to the assigned aircraft EP-FST suffering a technical defect, EP-FSU was to replace the aircraft. On departure the aircraft suffered severe vibrations, the cabin ceiling came down. The flight was finally completed with the originally assigned aircraft EP-FST, that arrived into Kermanshah with a delay of about 9 hours. Iran's CAA reported abnormal vibrations (shimmy) of the main landing gear due to a defective shimmy damper caused damage to the gear structure including the lower torsion link which further resulted in damage to the tyres. The condition of the tyres as well as the pilot performance did not play a role in the accident, however the condition of the shimmy damper was poor due to leakages, wear and corrosion. The occurrence came to light due to the passenger video surfacing on social media.
