A Russian disinformation operation has turned its attention to the US midterm elections, unleashing a series of deepfake videos that depict celebrities attacking Democrats.

Ugh. US Voters, please do your own research before voting! Verify claims via trusted news sources, and check your local area's news/reporting for stuff on your specific measures/candidates.

Check what's on your ballot ahead of time (https://ballotpedia.org/Sample_Ballot_Lookup is a good tool if you're not sure) so you can be informed about who/what you're choosing, independent of any ad/propaganda/celebrity campaigns!

In typing this, I realize I'm probably preaching to the choir a little bit... please help make sure anyone you know is voting, and voting for what they actually want, not just based on a video/meme/post they saw online, or someone else's "opinion".
