Shit post is for real though...

Got three STEM degrees because of that. Problem is there was a huge debt I had to pay off, income loss from school, pulling money from retirement to support myself during layoffs, and after 20 years in field, there is still no job security and my livelihood is always someone else's decision and dangling over my head. The ends sometimes don't justify the means, especially when you're not in the club or someone's son, so be careful out there folks.

Life is better if you have agency over your own wellbeing. People always need doctors, plumbers, and electricians, but they don't always need engineers and scientists. Take charge of your life and don't let someone else dangle a paycheck over your head and make you sit through AI interviews for employment if possible. Be needed, not optional.
