Yeah I lived in the American South and that ad is not fucking ok. Maybe it doesn't hit the same in the UK but they deserve some criticism. |

Yeah I lived in the American South and that ad is not fucking ok. Maybe it doesn't hit the same in the UK but they deserve some criticism.
Especially with the recent uptick of hangings in the American South right now. |

Ah, yes, offending black people is surely a great way to sell checks notes sneakers? Not a sneakerhead, but from my casual shoe-shod view of pop culture, sneaker culture flows as directly from the black community as hip-hop does. The only other thing I know is Converse has a cool punk-indie vibe that will absolutely not want to be associated with lynching. Also, they offer no arch support whatsoever. |
