After Bush junior won his second term my supervisor and coworkers in Alabama got down on their knees at work to thank god for his reelection.

Years later, after Iraq turned into a mess and the body count kept increasing one of them came up to me unbidden and said he had been wrong about bush. But it was only one of them, and the amount of death and destruction it took to change his mind was enormous. He also still voted republican in the next election.

I've been aware and warning about these dipshit fascists for many years. The warning signs have been around for, well, centuries. The point is that it was unstable state; the comfortable "moderates" forgot to clean up the horrors in their basement.

They are literalist excelerationists. Some are dominionists that have been infiltrating the government for years. They believe they have a god give right to control everything.

I too have been warning about this for years. It's been like a slow acting heartbreak to witness the damage they have done and the idiocy they stoop to.
